It appears as though unlike the year 2017 when all reports related to Zylofon Media were full of pomp and praise, 2018 is a year that has been full of criticism and controversy to the apparent glee of a select few.
With all the criticism of Zylofon Media's conduct, and its contribution to the local entertainment industry, YEN.com.gh put together a list of reasons why some industry stakeholders would relish seeing the company fail.
At this point everybody in Ghana know how loaded Zylofon Media - and its boss - is, especially industry players. In a country that is as capital intensive Ghana, a company like Zylofon Media can achieve a lot more than its competitors.
2. Too much talent under one roof
By signing up Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, Zylofon Media has been able to sign up two of the biggest artistes in the Ghanaian music industry, something most - if not all - of its competitors have not been able to do.
3. Most artists would like to work for Zylofon
It's not secret that simply because of how generous Zylofon Media has been to its signees, many Ghanaian artiste's would jump at the change of signing up with Zylofon Media. And with the company being the only one in the local industry to be able to 'treat' its acts the way it does, it easy to see why the competition would jubilate at the company's failure.
4. To see Zylofon Media's boss fail
Other than Nana Appiah Mensah's tweet concerning his last meeting with the late Ebony reigns, one of the richest man in Ghana's has been nothing but good to the industry, something appears to have gained him no credit with many critics.
