YEN.com.gh has sighted a new video from the camp of RuffTown Records, and it contains an official tribute to the late Ebony Reigns.
The video was reportedly released on Tuesday night, and has all of Ebony’s label mates, Brella, Danny Beatz, and a new comer, Miss Forson, on board.
The group sings of how they have missed Ebony Reigns, and their earnest wish to have her back as soon as possible.
“I’m look for Ebony…. Where is Ebony? Oh Lord bring back Ebony; I miss my Ebony.”
“Bony where you dey, Bony come back home, Bony come for the mic and sing,” Brella, Ebony’s ‘Hustle’ partner sings emotionally as he wipes off his tears.
Danny Beatz also sings of how weak he is because of the fact that Ebony is dead.
According to him, anytime he closes his eyes, it is Ebony’s face he sees and that has made his life miserable.
“I can’t take this no more, anytime I close my eyes, it is you [Ebony] that I see. When I open my mouth it is only your sing I dey sing. Bony why, Bony why? " Danny Beatz sings in the tribute song.
For her part, Miss Forson prays to God to keep Ebony closer to his bosom till they meet each other again.
The song as delivered by her label mates, shows that indeed, the group has lost a great icon.
Ebony was the foremost artiste signed by Bullet in 2015, and after two years, she had exceeded the boundaries of Ghana and had gone international.
She had many hit songs to her credit including ‘Maame Hw3’, ‘Sponsor’, ‘Hustle’, ‘Aseda’, ‘Date Ur Fada’, 'Poison' and others which are still enjoying massive airplay even after her death
Ebony died painfully in a gory accident on February 8, 2018, a week to her 21st birthday.
Her final funeral rites have been slated for March 24, at the forecourt of the States House in Accra.
