Two of the suspects involved in the Royal Motors Limited robbery case have been apprehended by the police.
The police arrested the two suspects in Oda in the Eastern Region following some gun exchanges.
The two were part of a gang that allegedly trailed a bullion van to the premises of the automobile company to rob money and other valuables.
Four persons were reported to have been involved in the crime, however, two of the suspects are currently in the grip of the police.
The latest two to be arrested have been identified as Dormenyo Alfred and Felix Andy. The pair were reportedly spotted on board in a Toyota Highlander vehicle with registration number GR 8001-18, driving from Asamankese to Akim Oda.
The Oda Police Command gave them a chase, which subsequently turned into a shootout with the suspects.
One of the suspects, Alfred Dormenyo was hit in the right thigh and sent to the Oda Government Hospital for treatment, whiles the other has been sent to the Oda Police station.
The police found a flat screen television and other personal items in the car of the suspects upon a thorough search.
Armed robbery cases have been rampant across the nation in recent weeks, with some of the victims losing their lives in the process.
Government has, however, assured that it will do its best to equip the Police and other security services to fight the menace.
