Popular Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson, has dismissed rumours that she has a soft spot for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a report by MyNewsGH.com, she revealed that her decision to embark on a demonstration against the Mahama-led government with respect to ‘dumsor’ created the impression that she was with NPP.
It was further alleged that the demonstration was an attempt to paint the then government black.

In an interview on Okay FM, the actress denied she was a member or a sympathizer of the ruling NDC.
According to her, her decision to get involved in the demonstration was borne out of the love she has for her country as a patriotic citizen, and not because of her political affiliation.
She went on to say that she loves every political party, and as such owes allegiance to none of them.
“I have love for everybody. I am a patriotic Ghanaian and I love my country. I have love for both the NPP and the NDC. Abeiku John Dumelo is an NDC member but he’s my brother. I’m a Ghanaian,” she said.
Yvonne Nelson, as an actress and producer, has over the years, metamorphosed into a force to reckon with in Ghana’s movie industry.
She has enjoyed an amazing career, having featured in over 100 movies, including House of Gold and Any Other Monday.
