For a long time there's been several commentators who've argued that, although the likes of Shatta Wale and Sarkodie may be very popular in Ghana, Stonebwoy has more international appeal, and is therefore more popular outside Ghanaian borders.
In a recent interview on ETV's Late Night Celebrity Show with Eddie Blay, Stephanie Benson added her voice to the group that has long said that Stonebwoy is more popular outside Ghanaian borders, only this time specifically in the United Kingdom.
“Stonebwoy is big in the UK, everybody knows about him there but the others are not so known there. I went for my radio tour just before I came with the song ‘One More’, and a couple of my songs ‘Goodbye and ‘Good Feeling’ and everybody was asking me 'do you know Stonebwoy' and I said 'yes!” Stephanie said.
Stephanie Benson went on to say that the Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Mr. Eazi, is also pretty popular, and that rapper, M.anifest is pretty well known too.
