- Ebony cloth selling hot and fast on the market
- Vendors of the cloth say demand has been very high since it's release
Sellers of the official cloths for the late Ebony Reigns’ funeral have indicated that sales of the prints are booming.
Last week the family and management of Ebony unveiled two cloths; namely the ‘Maame Hwe’ and ‘Aseda’ cloths to be used for the funeral and thanksgiving of the late dancehall singer.
Fans and sympathizers of the deceased artiste are expected to be in the official cloths when they grace her funeral.
As a result, it appears the two cloths have had huge patronage from the majority of Ghanaians.
According to some traders, though some customers have complained about the high cost of the cloth, they have nevertheless bought them in high quantities.
Speaking in an interview with Zylofon FM, one trader said she purchases the material for Gh200 from the producers and sells it for Gh220, which means she makes a Gh20 profit.
Others also indicated that business has been booming since the cloths were released onto the market.
The late Ebony Reigns, known in real life as Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, died on February 11 after being involved in a gory car crash.
The dancehall sensation died alongside her personal assistant and military bodyguard whiles returning from a visit to her mother in Sunyani.
