Former Foreign Minister Hannah Tetteh, who was accused of squeezing the hand of former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, has hit back at her accusers by saying she had soft and gentle hands.
Ex-president John Rawlings, who was attending an NDC function not too long ago, slammed Ms. Tetteh for squeezing the hand of Mrs. Rawlings at the Independence Square on March 6 in a manner that caused her some pain.

He went on to reveal that he could not fathom why Ms. Tetteh would take out her 'frustration' on his 'skinny wife' when he was the one she seemed to have a problem with.
Mr. Rawlings who did not wade into the reason for the purported 'bad blood' between himself and the former minister sent the gathering into rapturous laughter when he described his wife as he “not fleshy”.

The claim by Mr. Rawlings sparked public outcry with most people condemning the former president for his utterances, especially considering the platform he used to vent his anger at the former minister.
Ms. Tetteh who is currently in Germany, was said to have granted an interview on a matter but she on Tuesday tweeted she has neither had any interview nor issued a statement on any matter in the last three days, describing such report as “fake news”.

Replying to that tweet, one user humorously asked Ms Tetteh to give him a handshake as the one given Mrs. Rawlings during the 61st independence day celebration but she responded: “You’ll find out my hands are quite soft and gentle. They always have been”.
She further said she has not broken fingers before when another user tweeted at her that he admired Ms. Tetteh’s strength in “breaking fingers”.
“Sorry to disappoint you, and at the risk of losing your admiration. I never have broken any fingers. I’m quite sure about that.
