- Reports about a mortuary man allegedly fondling the corpses of the late Ebony and Franky Kuri went viral
- A video containing the alleged act attracted massive criticisms from the public
- But the mortuary man has opened up, saying he never did such a thing
Weeks ago, reports about a mortuary man who allegedly fondled the corpses of Ebony Reigns and her pal Franky Kuri, went viral.
The act was allegedly contained in a video which was circulating on social media.
The mortuary man was lambasted, with many people urging the family of Ebony to sue him.
Giving his name only as Mr. Eben, the mortuary man denied flatly that he fondled the bodies of Ebony and her friend, in an interview with Joy News.
According to the mortuary man, whenever a dead body is brought to the morgue, the police come around to take pictures.
In so doing, some parts of the dead body have to be touched to determine if the dead body is intact or there is a fracture somewhere.
All these, he said, are part of investigation to be conducted by the police.
Mr Eben said there was no way he could have “played” with the corpse of Ebony because apart from the fact that he is an older man, he just cannot do that.
“It is never true and it will never be true till Christ comes that I fondled Ebony’s dead body; I am an older man and I just cannot do that,” the mortuary man said.
He added that he has been in the job for over twenty years, and for that matter he knows how to properly handle dead bodies.
Mr. Eben revealed that he still does not know how the video became public.
He also complained about the negative effect the publication had on his personality, even affecting his family.
However, with the support of his pastors, family members and the Association of Mortuary workers of Ghana, the mortuary man said he resolved the issue.
Mr. Eben said further that he was waiting for the police to complete their investigation into the matter and further declare him innocent.
