Ebony’s look-alike wo caused a stir at the funeral yesterday as mourners who had come to the funeral rushed to catch a glimpse of her, Akua Kyeremanteng, said Ebony was mentoring her to become like her (Ebony).
Akua Kyeremanteng said she got to know the late dancehall diva when a competition was staged on social media for Ebony’s look-alikes which she won.
In an interview with TV3, she said they used to meet at restaurants to discuss her music career.
“She wanted me to become like her and do my own music but because I was a nursing worker, I didn’t have time so I opted o join her instead,” she said.
Akua Kyeremanteng says she is currently a nursing student.
Ebony was laid to rest at the Osu cemetery yesterday, March 24. Her funeral was held at the forecourt of the State House, Accra.
