- A tribute concert was organized in memory of Ebony Reigns by her RuffTown Records
- Patapaa said he was not invited
- According to him, he is not hurt for not being invited because he is not a funeral artiste
‘One Coner’ hitmaker, Patapaa, has disclosed that he was not invited by RuffTown Records for Ebony’s Tribute Concert.
According to Patapaa, though he wished to be at the event, he is not bothered about not being invited because he is simply not a funeral artiste.
Patapaa reportedly made this comment in an interview with SVTV Africa.
He disclosed that he had his ears on the ground to be invited by Bullet, Ebony’s manager, but since that invitation never came, he also decided not to even pass by the Trade Fair Centre where the tribute concert was held.
His comment seems to have described the likes of Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Yaa Pono, Kofi Kinaata, and the others who agreed to perform at the event as “funeral musicians”.
Meanwhile, Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, was buried last Saturday, March 24, 2018.
She was laid to rest at the Osu cemetery.
Ebony, even in her death, won the female artiste of the year at the just ended 3Music Awards.
Patapaa, the man who claims he is not a “funeral artiste”, also won the most popular song of the year with his “One Corner”.
