Koku Anyidoho was arrested today after warning that the move by President Nana Akufo-Addo to sign the US-Ghana military cooperation deal is a sign that his administration will soon be overthrown.
According to Koku, Ghana's political history will soon be repeated and that President Akufo-Addo "will end up like his father, who was overthrown together with Dr KA Busia in 1972."
The comments, deemed treasonable, led the police to arrest him at the Ghana International Press Centre in Accra where he was addressing a press encounter.
