- Police officials have denied Koku Anyidohu bail for the second time
- John Mahama has been spotted at the CID following the arrest of Koku Anyidohu
- Mahama is believed to have entered into a meeting with the CID boss
Deputy general secretary of the opposition NDC, Koku Anyidohu, has been denied bail for the second time by the Ghana police service.
Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that Koku Anyidohu will have to spend yet another night at the CID head office.
So far, the CID has also secured a court permit to inspect the phones of Koku Anhyidohu.
Earlier on, former president of the republic, and 2016 flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, showed up at the head office of the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID).
YEN.com.gh is gathering that the former president entered into a closed-door meeting with the director general of the CID, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah.
It is believed the appearance by John Mahama was for him to find best ways of engaging police officials over the "treasonable" comments made by the deputy secretary general of the NDC, Koku Anyidohu.
Mahama was seen with some top officials of the NDC including former attorney general and head of legal counsel for Koku Anyidohu, Betty Mould Iddrisu.
Meanwhile, the Ghana police have called for calm over the arrest of Koku Anyidohu. The police department revealed that it will follow due process in the investigation of the offense suspected to have been committed by Koku Anyidohu.
Koku Anyidohu was arrested during a press conference at the International Press Centre in Accra where he was addressing a press encounter. Koku Anyidohu's statement follows that of a self-acclaimed prophet, Cosmos Walker, who warned of an imminent overthrow of the president of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.
The prophet, based in the Central Region, has revealed that the only prophet who could prevent the prophecy from happening would be the spiritual protection and prayer of Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah.
YEN.com.gh has read portions of this memo which also reveals that the agreement was finalized by the cabinet on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Also, we are learning that this engagement between Ghana and the US started way back in the last eight months.
