Akosua Kyeremanteng, the lady who has been in the news for reportedly looking like late dancehall act, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, widely known as Ebony Reigns, has sent a strong word to a section of the public over some unsavory comments that have come her way.
The young lady, who had received some backlash after news went round that she looked like the late dancehall act warned her critics to stop insulting her.
She took to her Facebook page and bemoaned that, “Well enough is enough ,de insults is too much here. I didn't Force Anybody to call me By dat name and am not Forcing myself to become like Her ..Moreover am a nursing Worker I don't beg B4 I eat .So be Warned if I catch Any Rat Gossiping about Mhe again ..i swear unless de person kills me cos I go beat de person basaaaaa.”
Akosua Kyeremanteng who appeared to be livid over the backlash coming her way threatened to beat up anyone she caught gossipping about her.
She added that she was not on anyone’s payroll because she was a gainfully-employed nurse.
Akosua Kyeremanteng became an instant celebrity on social media after it emerged that she looked like the late award-winning act, Ebony Reigns.
When Ebony was alive, she took time off her busy schedule to meet with Akosua Kyeremanteng when news got to her that there was a lady who looked just like her.
During the One Week Memorial held for Ebony, Akosua Kyeremanteng caused a stir as many media people clamored for pictures due to the striking resemblance between herself and the late singer.
At last Saturday’s funeral at the forecourt of the State House, Akosua Kyeremanteng was given a rapturous welcome amidst screams of, “Ebony has come back!”
However, some people had their own reservations about the ‘striking’ resemblance which caused a debate on social media.
A section of the public vehemently refuted the assertion that the young lady looked anything like Ebony Reigns.
Another section of people on social media are purported to have indicated that Akosua Kyeremanteng was riding on the fact that she looked like Ebony and was using it as a way to gain the media’s attention.
The young lady has vehemently refuted the claims and indicated that she did not look to become popular out of the death of Ebony.
