Ghanaian musician, Joey B, has revealed that he has been admiring highlife musician, Ofiri Amponsah’s work for a long time now.
In a report by zionfelix.net, he stated that he usually borrowed lines from the ace musician, and this helped his career in lots of ways.
Joey B, whose real name is Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin, went ahead to say that his decision to pick such lines was an attempt at honouring his mentor.
The ‘Tonga’ hitmaker further revealed that he was starstruck when he first met Ofori Amponsah real name Samuel Ofori Amponsah years back.
He disclosed that he was not fascinated when he first met American rapper and businessman, Jay-Z at Roc Nation in the USA after a show, but the feeling was different when he had an encounter with the ‘Emmanuella’ hitmaker sometime ago.
Joey B referred to Ofori Amponsah as his idol he never plays with because of his good works.
