- Sulley Muntari has been called a sexist over a meeting with the press
- He was answering a question asked by a female reporter
Former Black Star International, Sulley Muntari, appears to have gotten himself a sexist tag over a response he gave to a question asked by a female reporter during a press conference at his club.
Like a moth to a flame, it appears as though - try as he might - by and by Sulley Muntari and controversy will always have something to do with each other.
During a press conference at his current side, Deportivo La Caruna, on March 22nd, Sulley Muntari didn't take too kindly to a question asked by a female reporter, but said he would be rude because she is a women.
"I'm not going to answer you in a bad way because you're a woman and I have to respond politely." Muntari said.
When another reporter inquired as to why he responded to the previous question the way he did, Sulley Muntari went on to explain why he gave the response he did.
"I know how to talk when I'm with men and how to talk when I'm with women. I speak to her as if she were my wife, being respectful. There are people who make me softer, like children, women or the elderly. If you have my same size, I am the way I am," he said.
