Addressing the court the prosecutor, Inspector Isaac Abbemeh, said the Criminal Investigation Division's (CID) Anti-Human Traffic Unit, received a complaint from the victim that both accused persons, along with one Kulest in Nigeria, engaged her, brought her to Ghana and forced her to become a prostitute.
The unit, lead by the Unit Commander, quickly moved to arrest both suspects in order to interrogate them.
Inspector Isaac Abbemeh went on to say that a search of the suspect's places of residence produced a series of items which included an Iphone 7 that contained a nude video of the victim, and a notepad with financial details of funds victims paid the suspects after being forced to sleep with men.
Authorities also found out that the suspects lied to victims that they were bringing them to Ghana to employ them as sales girls, only to later be forced into prostitution.
“It was also discovered that Angel assisted her sister by chatting with men on social media and hooking the complainant and other victims to these men to have sex with them,” the prosecutor said.
