- The Ghana AIDS Commission has distributed thousands of condoms
- This move forms part of measures to end the spread of HIV
- Thousands of revelers are being advised to use a condom
The Ghana Aids Commission has distributed over 60,000 condoms at Kwahu as part of the Easter festivities.
This move, the commission claims, is part of measures to protect and create awareness for the need for protection and responsible intimate engagement during the Easter.
Already, thousands of revelers are having the best of moments at the Kwahu mountains which has been cited as Ghana's most well-attended tourist attraction on such occasions.
Meanwhile, some revelers say the amount of condoms to be distributed by the commission is far from enough especially when patronage of the site this time around could exceed the minimum of 10,000.
One development which beautifies the Kwahu Easter festivities is the paragliding festival which was introduced more than a decade ago to promote tourism in the country, and also to spice up the Easter celebrations in Kwahu.
Last year’s paragliding exercise was launched by the tourism ministry and also saw six international tandem pilots from the United States, Romania, and Japan recruited to fly passengers at the festival.
