Kenyans of goodwill on Friday, March 30, joined hands and blessed a Nakuru mum with a brand new wheelchair after her story was highlighted by various media houses.
As reported by YEN.com.gh earlier, the woman's 10 year-old son identified as Kevin became an online sensation a couple of days ago after a photo showing him wheeling his mom to work emerged.
The photo warmed the hearts of many Kenyans who lauded his effort and responsibility at such a tender age.
Kevin, who was labeled a hero used to wheel his disabled mum every morning to a shop she runs before heading to school.
The young lad would later come back in the evening after classes to take her back home.
Kevin's story moved thousands of social media users who started an online campaign in a bid to locate and possibly extend a helping hand to the boy and his mother.
YEN.com.gh has learnt that a number of kind-hearted Kenyans and well-wishers finally located Kevin and his mum and gifted her with an tricycle wheelchair to ease her movement to and from her shop.
The 10-year-old's school fees and that of his siblings was also cleared and he also received brand new school uniform.
Photos of the well-wishers handing over the wheelchair and foodstuff to Kevin and mum made rounds on social media, touching even more hearts with countless people thanking the Good Samaritans for blessing the family.
YEN.com.gh learnt that Kevin's mum identified as Irene, suffered polio attack at a tender age of four which left her crippled.
