- According to him, the dancehall musician constantly finds himself in controversial issues
- Kenny Blaq however praised him, saying he is a good musician
Popular Nigerian comedian, Kenny Blaq, threw shade at dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, during the Easter Comedy Show on Saturday, March 31, 2018.
The comedian, who was full of praise for Ghanaian rap songs, stated that the tunes are quite simple.
“To me, I feel Ghana rap is the best rap ever. Ghana rap is so simple, just end it with a word”, he noted.
He then offered to give a freestyle, and Shatta Wale’s hit song, ‘Freedom’ was suggested to him.
He however rejected it, saying that Shatta Wale isn’t ‘free’, as he is constantly involved in controversial issues.
“Oh, that guy is not free; I think that he has a problem with controversial issues. Those of us in Nigeria are surprised at Shatta Wale. He walks as if he is with his twelve disciples.”
The comment attracted mixed reactions from the audience. Kenny Blaq was however quick to salvage the situation when he commended Shatta Wale for being a very good musician.
