Luck eluded a suspected thief as he lost his life in the course of breaking into a shop through its roof.
The burglar, who is yet to be identified, was seen on the roof of the shop by the owner the following morning.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Techiman in the Brong Ahafo region, attracted several onlookers to the scene.
The Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong, revealed that the deceased had opened part of the roof of the kiosk and was trying to cut through the ceiling when he was electrocuted.
He added that he was pronounced dead on arrival when he was taken to the Techiman Holy Family Hospital.
Inspector Oppong, said body of the deceased has been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.
