A man believed to be mentally unstable, has lost his life after he jumped into a well.
The deceased, known as Ibrahim Seidu, was believed to be in his late 40s at the time of the incident.
According to a report by Ghissues.com, he wished to cool off in the well, but met his untimely death.
The victim, who is reported to have resided at Wamase, near Kwadaso in Ashanti Regional town of Kumasi, was found to be unconscious at the time residents retrieved his body from the well.
The mother of the deceased, Madam Mary, said her son, after breakfast on Monday, 2 April, said he was off for some fresh air, only to be found dead in the well hours later.
As part of the rescue operation, residents broke part of the well, scooped the water out, entered with a ladder and with the aid of a rope, pulled the body out after several hours.
