Social media users 'fire' Owusu Bempah over his comments after Koku Anyidoho's 'treasonable statement'

Ghana was thrown into a state of confusion after it was reported that NDC’s Deputy General Secretary was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department after making comments believed to be treasonable.

After the arrest of the popular politician, many of his party’s faithful gathered in front of the Police Headquarters in Accra to demand his release.

Some executives of the party also thronged the CID headquarters to support their member after he was ‘arrested’.

However, many well-meaning Ghanaians condemned the statement made by the top politician and tagged it as very ‘irresponsible’ which could lead to fear and panic.

Among the many critics of the NDC big wig was the General Overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Okay FM, the prophet revealed that it was unfortunate for a politician to make such comments about the president of the land.

He added that the comments could cause fear and panic in the country therefore it merited a full-blown investigation to ensure that the presidency was safe from any form of attack.

The popular prophet went on to indicated that anyone who did not see anything wrong and went on to support Koku’s comments could be tagged as a ‘nation wrecker’.

However, a section of users on the internet have ‘spat fire’ on the popular man of God for his comments.

Ibrahim was 'all kinds of ugly' with his comment

McChelsealuvson was of the view that it was all about the 'stomach'

Richard tore into the personality of both the pastor and the president

Worlanyo said it was a matter of hypocrisy

Isaiah was asking the man of God to go out preaching
