Despite the flashy lifestyles of Ghanaian actors, many of them are not rich, Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has stated
According to him, most of his colleagues pretend to be rich in the eyes of the public but are poor and hungry in reality.
Speaking in an interview on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix, explained that the dying movie industry has severely affected the pockets of actors in the country.
For him, no actor in Ghana can be named among the rich people in the country so he cannot understand why most of them want to behave as billionaires like Osei Kwame 'Despite' and Zylofon CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah.
At best, Kwaku Manu stated, the actors were only pretending to be earning millions while in actual fact, they were living 'hand to mouth'.
When told by the show's host about the fact that some of his colleagues have opened pubs and were employing people, Kwaku Manu said if “we are talking about businesses and you are mentioning pub.”
He added that the rich men in the society pay not less than Ghc 1000 to their workers but pub owners give Ghc 150 as salary so actors who own bars in the country should not consider themselves rich.
