YEN.com.gh has sighted a video of singer Kuami Eugene in which he ‘plays’ with his mother.
Kuami Eugene is captured in his car with the mother who indicated that she did not want her face shown in the video, obviously because she doesn’t want to be popular.
Kuami Eugene is heard asking his mom in the video saying in the Twi language: “Mama, I'm very sure that people want to see you. Do you want me to capture your face in the video? If I do, people would see you in town and be saying to others “that is Kuami Eugene’s mother over there.”
As if playing ‘hide and seek’ with her son, the proud mother only giggled and replied her son simply saying: “Let’s go” (that is for him to move the car), ensuring that her face does not appear in the video.
Kuami Eugene posted this video on his Instagram page with a heartwarming caption: “Mama Don’t Cry No More. Your Boy Is Favored...”
His fans and followers have commented on the video. Here are some of the comments his post received:
jennifer.amponsah: “I can imagine how beautiful she will be..Mum pls allow us to see you wai..❤️❤️”
mavisamoafo: “Hahaha, oh mum let's see ur face wait..we luv u.”
lawrettag: “We want to see her pls.”
ceecejimenez: “I don't understand but I bet she looks good.”
Kuami Eugene’s caption may stem from an interview Kuami Eugene granted earlier that his mother wept for a long time when he was sacked from school, making him a school dropout.
According to Kuami, he had left school for over two weeks to live with a man he barely knew in the Eastern Region all because he wanted to pursue music.
This also made the mother sad because she did not know her son’s whereabouts.
However, Kuami Eugene is big musician today even at a young age of twenty (20), and it seems his mother’s toils have not gone waste.
He is on record for stating that he prefers older women to young girls.
Kuami Eugene’s latest songs – ‘Confusion’, and ‘Adwenfi’ with Shatta Wale has saturated the airwaves.
In the video below, the deputy education minister, Mrs Barbara Ayisi, speaks on how President Akufo-Addo inspires her, and how the president's success story must also inspire the youth of Ghana to greater heights.
