Shatta Wale wants to release a song for Dr. Mensa Otabil

- Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has requested to compose a song for Dr. Mensa Otabil, the Founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church

- This was in response to a tweet by the popular man of God

Popular Ghanaian dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has pleaded with renowned pastor, Dr. Mensa Otabil to release a song for him.

In response to a tweet by the man of God, the musician called for God’s blessing on Dr. Otabil, and requested to be given the opportunity to compose a song for him.

In a report by, Pastor Otabil posted a message on Twitter which read: “Beware of people who criticize you out of envy or jealousy; who pretend to have your interest at heart, but are secretly undermining your efforts.

In response to the tweet, Shatta Wale wrote: “Daddy I want to do a song for you, please. Thank you and may God continue to bless you with so much wisdom.”

Shatta Wale is one of Ghana's most popular dancehall artists.

The musician shot up to fame in 2004 with his hit single "Bandana from Ghana", which made tremendous hits on the Ghanaian airwaves.

Fast-tracking to recent times, Shatta Wale had his reputation as king of dancehall music secured after the president of the Republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo named him "King of Dancehall music" in a birthday message.

The dancehall guru’s influence with his large fan base makes him one of Ghana’s highly favored celebrities.
