Popular Ghanaian gospel music, Gifty Osei, has disclosed that her main focus is to win a Black Entertainment Television (BET) award in her career.
According to her, she is not bothered about her detractors on social media and will keep working hard to be recognized by the award scheme.
Speaking on Adom FM’s ‘Work and Hapiness’ on Thursday, the gospel singer told the host that she is not conforming to the status quo of other gospel musicians because she wants to reach a certain level where winning BET awards will be easy for her.
“I want to be at a certain level where I will be nominated at the BET Awards,” Gifty Osei, aka Empress One said.
To her, most Ghanaian gospel musicians are limiting their prowess in the music industry and are refusing to embrace new things.
She therefore cautioned her fellow industry players to shun paying attention to critics on social media since it will not take them far.
“If you pay attention to everything on the internet, you will fall sick and die. I am just who I am and I am modifying it. We are limiting ourselves. There is no old way. We only modify things,” Gifty stressed.
