Meet Jonathan Annobil, a future goalkeeper for the Black Stars’ team
Jonathan Joy Annobil is a talented Ghanaian born goalkeeper in his early teens, who is currently based in Senegal.

He started with the Redbuul Academy at Sogakope a few years ago, but left to play for Barcelona Academy, and then to Qatar.
He is however currently playing for a newly established Senegalese football team. In all, he has been protecting goal posts for 8 years now.
Over the years, he has grown to become one of best players Ghana’s football team could groom for the years ahead.
According to Annobil, he admires goalkeepers such as Kayla Navas and Manuel Neuer, because they exhibit anticipation and courage on the field of play.
It hasn’t been too rosy for him, though. He revealed that he was scared to return to his family, when he began, because he was doubtful they will approve of his decision to play football. As such, he often hid in order train as a goalkeeper.
In the year 2015, his dreams became a reality, when he was selected as one of the 50 players to represent Ghana at Doha in Qatar.
Luck smiled on him when, out of the 50, he was chosen as one of the final five to embark on the trip. Since then, there has been no turning back for him.
