Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has officially began recruitment for his soon-to-be opened airline business, the Baby Jet Airline.
The Kayserispor attacker announced that his airline will soon start operation, having obtained a license from the government of Ghana last year.
Since then, there have been several concocted stories, punctuated by fake and scam news, concerning recruitment of staff for the airline.
Towards the end of last year, Gyan and his management had to release a series of communiques debunking such fake reports about recruitment.
However, the Black Stars striker has now announced that recruitment for the Baby Jet Airline has now officially began.
The 32-year-old took to Twitter to announce that his airline is looking forward to hire vibrant young men and women as cabin crew members.
The post was accompanied by a photo which detailed out the requirements and qualifications for applicants.
Also, all selected applicants will be fully sponsored to be trained at the Aerovector Training School.
Gyan wrote: “IT’S OFFICIAL!
“BabyJet Airlines is offering young men & women lifetime career opportunities as Cabin Crew. I am looking forward to working with the lucky candidates.”
The Baby Jet Airline is the latest in the growing list of businesses opened by the Black Stars captain, having also ventured into boxing promotion and sachet water production, among other businesses.
President Nana Akufo-Addo announced at the African Airshow that, Gyan, has obtained a license to operate a new airline to be known as Baby Jet Airlines, some scammers have positioned themselves to take advantage of the yet-to-be-launched airline, by posing as recruitment agents to offer people jobs with the airline.
Gyan currently plays for Kayerispor in the Turkish Super League after a stint with Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese Super League and already owns a total of 18 companies.
He has interests in music production, entertainment with his Asa Band (as well as his personal music career) and event management (JetLink Events & Logistics).
Gyan has also invested in companies importing food (Mama Vits Noodles and Rice), boxing promotion (Baby Jet Promotions), water (Paradise Pac), transport, real estate, mining and student hostels.
Gyan, 32, is the all-time leading goalscorer of the senior national team (Black Stars) with 51 goals.
