YEN.com.gh has sighted a video of Ghana’s comic actor, Akrobeto, and prophet Kumchacha, in which there seems to be a battle going on.
The video was sighted on the official Instagram page of UTV.
Akrobeto is captured reading news as he always does on the TV channel, when he invited Prophet Kumchacha via a telephone call into the news programme for his view on a matter.
Kumchacha was addressing allegations that he has been a criminal before becoming a self-acclaimed man of God.
In the interview, he sought to clear the air on some of the vices he has been tagged with.
He is heard saying in English: “Oh no no no! Me Kumchacha I didn’t kill somebody, steal his or her food and money, but only just drinking and smoking wee and cigarette.”
The Akrobeto responded by telling saying that God would not give his spirit to him like he claims because he speaks bad English.
But Akrobeto’s comment infuriated Kuchacha so much so that he retorted: “I speak good English better than you, I speak American ‘slance’ [accent].”
In what seems like an English battle, Akrobeto refused to accept Kumchacha’s comment that he speaks better English than him, and so he ended the telephone interview.
Prophet Kumchacha’s English has often been a matter of laughter to the general public, but he never accepts it that he cannot speak the language better.
Meanwhile, Akrobeto’s new reading on UTV, though funny, earned him a feature on a French TV channel recently.
However, this video of the two personalities “fighting” over who speaks better English proves they both need “Obinim sticker” to help them improve in their speaking of the language.
In the video below, the deputy education minister, Mrs Barbara Ayisi, speaks on how President Akufo-Addo inspires her, and how the president's success story must also inspire the youth of Ghana to greater heights.
