- Mr Kennedy Agyapong said the young deputy Chief of Staff, Asenso boakye was ‘growing horns'
- According to firebrand NPP MP, Mr. Asenso has become arrogant
Outspoken Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong has lashed out at the Deputy Chief of Staff Francis Asenso Boakye, describing him as an arrogant man.
The NPP MP has been on a collision course with some of the party’s leading members at the Jubilee House, with his latest outbursts set to generate more controversy.
The controversial lawmaker has gone in hard on Mr. Asenso Boakye as well as fellow Presidential Staffer, Lord Commey.
According to him, the deputy Chief of Staff has grown horns and is now plotting the sack of some government appointees.
He accused Mr. Asenso Boakye of masterminding the sack of Peter Abum Sarkodie, who used to serve as boss of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
He said Mr. Asenso Boakye deliberately got the EPA boss sacked so that his own brother would be appointed to the post.
He described the deputy Chief of Staff as a “big bellied” man who was picked up from the streets of Chicago.
“We picked you (Asenso) from Chicago with your big stomach, …. Today you and Lord Commey are dictating,” the MP is quoted as saying by Mynewsgh.com.
“…You Asenso Boakye we went to meet you at Chicago. You Asenso! And today you are dictating pace.
“How unfair can you be to people who commit themselves to this party?” he further asked rhetorically.
Kennedy Agyapong also laid into Lord Commey, a senior presidential staffer, accusing him of “hijacking” cars at the Presidency.
“When we were working to win Greater Accra, where was Lord Commey and co? The mafia work we did to win Greater Accra. When we were meeting at midnight to prevent the NDC from rigging where was Lord Commey?
“If they joke I will mention where we picked up each of them. Today they have hijacked the cars and money at the Flagstaff house,” the maverick lawmaker stated.
