There is no doubt that young singer, Kuami Eugene is very talented and has a bright future as a contemporary Highlife musician as he continues to impress day after day.
But he did not start as a secular musician but a gospel musician, YEN.com.gh can report.
According to some photos sighted by YEN.com.gh, Kuami was a gospel singer in his teens and he actually released some tracks including , “Nyame Ayebi", "Kotodwe Ninaa", "Heaven," among others.
The photos suggest Kuami who was then known as Eugene Marfo was had his own gospel ministry, the Eugine Marfo Ministries at the time.
The 'Angela and Confusion' hitmaker was so good that he was referred to as the Afirca's Prince of Worship.
So how did Kuami Eugene take a u-turn from the gospel or backslide (as some people will say) to the extent that he would now state in interviews that he prefers older women (sugar mummies) as partners?
Well, as we all know, Kuami was part of MTN Hitmaker Season 5 and it was likely at thatime that he switched from gospel as he competed as a Highlife artiste.
