- An aide to Former President John Mahama has spoken about his 'Obinim sticker' comment
- According to Joyce Bawa Mogtari, it was merely a joke and should therefore be interpreted as such
- Former President John Mahama is reported to have stated that the current administration needs a sticker from Bishop Obinim
Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the Special Aide to Former President John Mahama, has stated that the ex-president was merely joking when he spoke on stickers allegedly being given out by Bishop Daniel Obinim.
According to a report by GHIssues.com, she added that even though the comment was a joke, it still hurt the Akufo-Addo administration.
At the Unity Walk organized on Saturday, April 7, 2018, John Mahama is alleged to have said that “you do not win an election on the weakness of your opponent. You win an election because the electorate have confidence in you. And so even though NPP is proving super incompetent, we cannot sit and relax and say because they are super incompetent, we are going to win the next election. So we are going to work hard to win.”
He then went on to say that he has learnt via social media that a sticker allegedly provided by Bishop Obinim, the Founder and Leader of the International Godsway Church, is capable to providing cures for everything.
In his opinion, the current administration needs a sticker from Bishop Obinim. He added that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has failed and this could be felt in the “unbearable hardship” being experienced by Ghanaians.
In the video below, the deputy education minister, Mrs Barbara Ayisi, speaks on how President Akufo-Addo inspires her, and how the president's success story must also inspire the youth of Ghana to greater heights.
