On Monday, April 09, 2018, social media was awashed with a new photo of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale in which the musicians seem to be preaching peace.
The photo was taken at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi over the weekend during this year’s celebration of the Akwesidae Festival.
In the said photo, the Zylofon boss, Nana Appiah Mensah, is captured standing in between the two giant musicians.
Nana Appiah Mensah holds their hands in a bid to reunite them.
Shatta Wale is seen raising a hand in the air towards Stonebwoy as if to give him a ‘hi-5’.
Shortly after, their colleague Zylofon artistes, Joyce Blessing and Kumi Guitar, both stated on various platforms that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s battle has been fake.
Kumi Guitar is on record for stating that “only jokers would take the Shatta-Stonebwoy brouhaha serious."
Given this background, YEN.com.gh has learn 4 strange things about the ‘reunion photo’.
1. They look good together: This photo proves that Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale could be a perfect team working together. Imagine how a collaboration between the two would become a massive hit.
2. They were not really fighting: The photo also proves that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have not been fighting after all. Their recent bickering could be calculated as a deliberate move to make Zylofon Media more popular.
3. Fooling their followers and fans: The photo also reveals that the two musicians have been fooling their fans and followers. While they fight over who is the better dancehall musician, their fans have also been busy tearing each other’s group apart. It is important that the fans learn a lesson of unity from this ‘reunion’ photo and end all quarrels.
4. Relevance in the industry: The ‘reunion’ photo could also be a ploy by the two musicians to remain topical in the industry, while remaining relevant for a long time.
However, it is hoped that their current unity would linger on bringing peace to them, peace to their fans and followers, peace in the music industry and finally peace to Ghana.
In the video below, the deputy education minister, Mrs Barbara Ayisi, speaks on how President Akufo-Addo inspires her, and how the president's success story must also inspire the youth of Ghana to greater heights.
