- Ghanaian music trio VVIP planning to build a hospital for Zongo communities
- The group is celebrating 20 years of back-to-back hits in Ghana, Nigeria and other parts of the world
Hiplife trio VVIP are currently in their 20th year since beginning their journey in the Ghana music industry.
The musical group is one of just few from the 1990s that has managed to survive and remain relevant on the music scene.
As part of the 20th anniversary celebrations, VVIP has decided to take it upon themselves to build hospitals for the various Zongo communities.
Dubbed the VIP/VVIP@2O Experience, the group wants to show love to their fans in the Zongos by providing them with a health facility.
A statement from the group said the focus for now is on establishing Mother and Child Care hospitals in Zongo communities around Accra and its environs.
“VIP/VVIP@20 EXPERIENCE which marks the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the group is set to outdoor the long held dream of the group to establish a MOTHER & CHILD HOSPITAL for Zongo Communities across Accra and beyond,” they stated.
According to management, the full programme for the celebration will be made public on 27th April, 2018 at the official launch of the anniversary celebration.
The launch will take place at the Holiday Inn Hotel with support from Axiss Shipping, Rigworld Training Centre under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture.
VVIP started way back in the early 1990s but have managed to remain on top of their game till date.
The musical group is currently made up of Lazy, Prodigal and Hiplife grand papa Reggie Rockstone.
