I also survive on men - Actress supports Moesha Boduong

- Actress Nayas has defended Moesha Boduong over her controversial comments during an interview with CNN

- Moesha has been heavily circuses for claiming in the interview that Ghanaian women literally survive under Ghana's hard economic conditions by sleeping with men who are willing to pay their bills

- Nayas, however, has said Moesha was perfectly right in her statement

Actress Gladys Boaku, popularly known as Nayas, has supported fellow actress, Moesha Budoung over some comments she made during an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour that Ghanaian women literally survived by dating men who were willing to sponsor their needs.

In the no-holds-barred interview with Christiane Amanpour in which Moesha talked about her personality, sex, and love, among others, she revealed that she cannot survive in the country's bad economy without the help of men.

“In Ghana, our economy is such a way that you need someone to take care of you. You can’t make enough money as a woman here. Because even when you want to get an apartment, in Ghana they take two years’ advance and I just started working where will I get money to pay?”, she stated.

Moesha's statement, especially the generalization that most young Ghanaian women do what she does, has received a lot of condemnations from a section of Ghanaians who feel Moesha's statement is demeaning to hardworking Ghanaian women.

But Nayas has came to ger defence stating emphatically that Moesha was perfectly right because what her colleague said was something happening in the country which is no secret.

According to her, in this hard economy, only a few women on can afford to pay their rents let alone buy cars and other expensive items meaning they were getting help from men.

Speaking in an interview on KOFI TV, Nayas used herself as an example revealing that she was dating an old man who was catering for her needs.

Sounding more controversial, Nayas went further to advise young girls to take old men as partners because the young ones were only going to bother them without giving them much.

Meanwhile Moesha herself has officially apologised to Ghanaians for her controversial comments.

In an Instagram post on Friday, the embattled actress stated that she was humbled by the comments of Ghanaians and noted that upon reflection she could have done better.
