5 videos which could make Ebony rule from the grave as ‘Artiste of the Year’ at tonight’s VGMA

The annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2018 is here, and many entertainment lovers are making feverish preparations toward it.

It is to be noted that musicians are preparing too, especially those who have been nominated in various categories to win various awards.

In the ‘Artiste of the Year’ category, 5 artistes have been nominated. They are: Joe Mettle, Sarkodie, the late Ebony Reigns, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy.

Official voting for the nominees has long ended, as the event is set to roll today, April 14, 2018.

Interestingly, most social media users have tipped the late Ebony Reigns, who happens to be the only female nominee, to win the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award.

These videos show how hardworking, skillful and dedicated she was with her career until she died on February 08, 2018.

1. In the video, Ebony performed her hit song 'Kupe'. She released Kupe in 2016. As seen in the video, Ebony was so energetic and passionate about her performance.

2. In this video, Ebony was captured in a rap session. The song which chorus talks of "obiaa ba nny3" meaning "no one has a perfect child" could be one of her yet-to-be-released songs. After her sudden death, Ebony's management hinted that she had many songs which would be released as time goes on, and this could be one.

3. In this video, Ebony was captured in an 'assorted' performance. She was so charged up that the crowd could not hold back from cheering her on.

4. In this video, Ebony was able to get the massive crowd at the stadium to remain on its feet throughout her performance.

There are many other performances by Ebony which makes her stand out as Ghana's youngest and influential female musician ever.

The 'Original90sBadgirl' was laid to rest in Osu on March 24, 2018, in Accra.

It is the hope of many that she wins as many awards as possible tonight, more importantly, the prestigious 'Artiste of the Year' award.
