- Afia Schwar has opened up on why she is not a brand ambassador
- She said the reason is because she doesn't just allow anybody into her skirt.
Controversial Ghanaian actress and self-proclaimed queen of comedy in Ghana, Afia Schwarzenegger, has said that the only reason she has not been a brand ambassador for any product or brand is because she has not allowed men into her skirts.
The actress whose real name is Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa says she has over they years made a vow not to compromise herself in order to win deals like that.
“Some of us we’ve not been brand ambassadors for certain products and institutions because we didn’t allow people to have sex with us. They’ve not made me the face of whatever because I did not allow them to sleep with me, but that is fine with me.
From the way I’m loud mouthed, if I had cheapened myself and allow people to sleep with me, I wouldn’t have been able to speak my mind freely as I’ve always done,” Afia Schwarzenegger said.
She said even those who have suffered such predicaments have not been able to say for fear of the men denying publicly.
“You see, most of these popular girls are not able to publicly comment on issues because, they fear they’ll be shamed by men who have slept with them. A lot of the big men in Ghana are wicked, they only help young after sleeping with them, it’s only a few that are God-fearing,” Afia Schwarzenegger told Kasapa FM.
Afia had last week criticized Moesha Buduong for saying in an CCN interview that Ghana’s economy requires that women sleep with men before they can make a living.
Moesha Buodong had confessed in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour that she sleeps with a married man in exchange for financial assistance. She blamed economic hardship for her decision to seek support from a married man.
Afia had written a long post on Instagram telling Moesha and CNN’s Amanpour that although the Ghanaian economy was bad, there was no excuse for Moesha’s conduct
“Our economy is not good but we work [hard] … we cut our cloth according to our fabric, we don’t live for social media likes. Dating someone’s hubby is not a career; sleeping with a man in exchange for anything is prostitution,” she posted.
