A Form 5 student of the Ghana International School (GIS), Eno Adusei, has been selected to participate in the 2018 Harvard Medical School MEDScience summer programme.
The young student was selected among a host of other students from across the globe who would have the chance to study medicine at Harvard.
HMS MEDscience Program offers an exciting and engaging hands-on experience for young, passionate minds with an interest in medical sciences, healthcare, or STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
The one-week programme will see classrooms transformed into emergency room simulation laboratories on the Harvard Medical School campus.
The participating students will also be grouped into teams in order to learn how to treat a high-tech “patient” with state-of-the-art realistic and medically accurate features.
The programme is geared towards fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills which are all required to successfully compete for career opportunities in medicine.
Also, it is in line with the objectives of Harvard as a school to produce students who are internationally minded, think critically, disciplined, communicate effectively, display creativity and are socially responsible.
Eno Adusei certainly has the best platform to continue flourishing in her medical studies.
