Dancehall stalwart Shatta Wale has paid a courtesy call on the British High Commissioner to Ghana, Iain Walker, at his office in Accra.
Accompanying Shatta Wale on the special visit on Thursday, 26th April 2018, were members of his management team.
The meeting between Shatta Wale and Iain Walker, YEN.com.gh understands, was used to discuss matters concerning partnership for the development of the country together with stakeholders within the Creative Arts Industry.
Also, at the meeting, Shatta Wale presented a branded Shatta Movement T-Shirt, and copies of a compilation of Shatta Wale’s songs on a compact disc to Iain Walker.
Following their meeting, the High Commissioner posted photos on Twitter with the caption, "thinking about a job swap. @shattawalegh."
Shatta Wale responded saying "we should quickly do a job swap quickly....".
It’s safe to say that the law graduate from the University of Dundee, who is also UK Ambassador to Togo, Benin and Burkina Faso, is the latest Shatta Movement recruit.
Shatta Wale seems to easily befriend British High Commissioners. Iain Walker's predecessor, Jon Benjamin openly declared his love and support for Shatta Wale.
Even after leaving Ghana, Jon Benjamin, whom Shatta Wale refers to as Shatta Jon, is still very much in contact with the Dancehall act.
The two recently hanged out together when Shatta Wale visited London last year.
