Legendary Ghanaian highlife musician, Jewel Ackah, passed on yesterday, April 27.
Jewel Ackah died at his home in Tema at about 7pm on Friday, according information reaching this medium. He was 73.
He had been battling stroke and other illnesses for over 10 years, YEN.com.gh understands
Before his death, Jewel Ackah who was a member of the National Democratic Congress has told the party that if they had any help to offer him, they should do so now while he is still alive.

“I want to remind them that they shouldn’t let me die before they come and make Jewel Ackah…. Jewel Ackah”.
Jewel Ackah made this comment while addressing an NDC group who donated GHC2, 000 to cut down the cost of his medication after he had thanked the group for their kind gesture.
Jewel, who is known for the popular party anthem for the National Democratic Congress battled stroke and other sicknesses for about 10 years.
