- Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have been fighting over who is the best in dancehall
- This has often resulted in fans of the two artistes fighting as well
- In a new post, Stonebwoy has reiterated that he is unbeatable
Multiple award-winning dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has reiterated that he is champion of the dancehall genre of music.
The BET award winner in an interview with 3 News said his ability to remain the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year consecutively at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) show how hard he works to remain at the top.
“I am happy, and it actually cements my championship, because four times in a row at the Ghana Music Awards from 2014 till now means a lot". Stonebwoy said.
According to Stonebwoy although it is possible that his record may be broken some day, he feels fulfilled to enjoy this privilege at the moment.
Known in private life as Livingstone Etse Satekla, Stonebwoy revealed that his main aim of doing dancehall music is to inspire others.
“We all go through life and keep inspiring each other. I trust that if I go to the studio to put some creative piece together, majority of the pieces that I weave should be able to inspire them,” he said.
Stonebwoy is the arch rival of Shatta Wale.
The two have often been at each other’s throat fighting over who owns the right to be called the dancehall king of Ghana.
Stonebwoy in an earlier interview stated that he is lyrically and musically better than Shatta Wale.
But this comment stirred controversy which led to the two artists castigating each other on social media.
It is hoped that Stonebwoy’s latest submission would not trigger any counter attack from Shatta Wale.
