Police officials in the Central Region have arrested 130 criminals at Kasoa in an emergency swoop.
All these robbers are believed to be closely linked to recent cases of armed robbery there.
As part of the swoop, disturbing objects including guns, knives, cutlasses, marijuana and even Tramadol were discovered as part of the retrieved items.
The Kasoa Divisional Commander, ACP David Agyeman Adjem, who led the operation with support from the other police officers drawn across the region stated they are bent on reducing crime in the area.
There have always been troubling cases of armed robbery in the township of Kasoa with beheading and mysterious deaths over the past few days.
The swoop act by the Ghana police forms part of several other reforms to deal with crime in the country, In fact, the government has so far deployed a joint military-police taskforce to deal with the menace of crime across the country.
