Armed robbers kill police man; steals GHC900k

- The armed robbers shot and killed the officer who was on escort duty at Bogoso

- The robbers also succeeded in stealing GHC900,000 after the the deadly attack

Some suspected armed robbers have shot and killed a police officer, Corporal Duku Nicolas who was on escort duty at Bogoso in the Western Region.

According to Starrfmonline.com report, the robbers after killing the officer succeeded in stealing some GHC900,000 from Indian businessman, Rajinde Singh.

Further report states that the robbery incidence took place at the businessman’s office at Bogoso.

The Bogoso Police told Starr News in an interview that, the robbers who were driving in Nissan Rogue vehicle with registration number GE 411- 16 abandoned the vehicle at the outskirts of Oppong Valley, near Bogoso.

A statement released by the Ghana Police Service indicate that the Tarkwa Divisional and Prestea District Patrol Teams and all checkpoints have been alerted.

The police statement added that the robbers are currently on the run and the police have mounted intensive search and surveillance to arrest them.
