- Ebony's father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, has denied he is a member of an occult group
- He added that he never sacrificed his daughter for wealth
Nana Opoku Kwarteng, father of the late musician, Ebony, has reacted to rumours making rounds that he is a member of an occult group.
According to him, claims by Prophet Kumchacha and others about his membership in an occult group are false.
He further noted that it was untrue he sacrificed his daughter, Ebony, for ritual purposes.
Opoku Kwarteng went on to say that his daughter was priceless, and he will therefore have never committed such an act.
“Nana Hemaa was my best friend, my girlfriend, my mum, I loved her in as much as she loved me too, I can’t sell Ghana’s princess to the occult...Why? Is it for wealth or fame?”, he quizzed.
He added that it is a shame people like Prophet Kumchacha and others claimed Ebony was spiritually assassinated, and he (her father) sold her to the demon.
Reacting to claims that he buried the late Ebony Reign in a black coffin to prove his loyalty to the group (occult), Nana Opoku Kwarteng said he doesn’t regret choosing the black coffin for the burial because Ebony was special and deserved a prominent coffin.
Ghana was plunged into a state of mourning on the Thursday, February 8, 2018,following the death of Ebony Reigns and two others on the Kumasi-Sunyani road.
She was buried on Saturday, March 24, 2018.
