17-year-old offered admissions into 113 colleges with GHC20m worth scholarships

- A 17-year-old girl has been accepted to over a hundred universities in the Unites States

- The teenager who has a 4.0 Grade Point Average was also awarded scholarships worth over GHC20 million ($4.5 million)

- She has decided to attend Bennett College to study biology and become a neonatal intensive care unit nurse

A brilliant secondary school graduate identified as Jasmine Harrison has been accepted into over a hundred colleges in the United States. The 17-year-old girl was accepted into 113 schools with full scholarships worth GHC20.1 million.

Harrison who graduated from her school in Greensboro, North Carolina, with a 4.0 Grade Point Average, received the full scholarships from some of the schools she was accepted into.

She decided to apply to various schools after she was advised by teachers from her secondary school. The clever girl avoided appilication fees to the schools which allowed her to apply to more than 100 schools for just $135 (GHC600).

According to DailyMail, the young girl revealed that she didn't believe it when she received the first mails because she didn't really expect it to work.

She said: "When I got the first couple in the mail, I was like, 'OK, this is really happening,'. I didn't really think I'd be able to do that."

Harrison noted that she spent hours pouring over each entry to make sure she had the perfect application. She said: "On those late nights when I was filling out those applications with my mom and we just felt like we cannot do this, we just ended up singing gospel songs together to get through the night."

The 17-year-old decided to enroll in Bennettt College where she plans to study biology. The school is one of those that offered her a full ride scholarship. She plans to become a neonatal intensive care unit nurse that takes care of premature babies.
