Suspended Upper West Regional Minister, Alhassan Suleman, has been reinstated into office by President Akufo-Addo.
The President reinstated the Minister on Friday after investigations exonerated him from any involvement in the attack on the Upper West Regional offices of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in Wa.
Mr. Suleman was suspended in February after being accused of shielding irate NPP supporters who invaded the NADMO office to wreak havoc.
He was alleged to have prevented the Police from arresting the NPP thugs responsible for the attack.
Despite denying the allegations, President Akufo-Addo decided to suspend him in order to allow investigations prevail.
However, Mr. Suleman has been reinstated to his post after investigations proved he had no hand in the attack.
The report from the investigation has cleared the regional minister from all accusations, including allegations that he attempted to pervert the course of justice.
Meanwhile, the Police has arrested nine persons in connection with the attack on the NADMO offices in Wa.
The suspects are Kamal Ismail, Bongaamwini Issahaku, Salifu Seidu Adnan, Abdulai Hakeem, Suglo Nugu, Dakura Peter, Nuhu Mohammed, Kasim Dramani and Issah Salifu.
All the suspects are set to be arraigned before court to be prosecuted on various charges.
The charges include conspiracy to commit a crime, assault and conspiracy to commit a crime.
