How would you feel having a taxi driver return an item you left in his or her cab? Some of us might feel this is never possible but it indeed happened somewhere in the Central Region.
A taxi driver with his name withheld, approached the Central Regional Police Command in search of the owner of a large sum of money who had boarded his taxi cab and left his money in the cab.
Confirming the news to the media, regional public affairs director of the police, DSP Irene Oppong, says the taxi driver (name withheld) went to the regional police headquarters at Pedu Junction.
“The driver came to lodge a complaint that he picked a male passenger from Aquarium to Abura. On reaching the destination the passenger left his money in the car,” she revealed.
The taxi driver handed over the large sum of money to the police and went his way.
Meanwhile, the regional police command is calling on anyone who mistakenly left his or her money in the said taxi cab in the Central Region to report to the regional police headquarters for identification and collection.
