- Stonebwoy has revealed that Ebony's death affected their plans to work together
- According to him, they had agreed to work on a remix for his 'Bawasaba' hit track before Ebony's tragic accident
Ghanaian Dancehall act, Stonebwoy, has revealed that the untimely demise of Ebony Reigns deprived him of an opportunity to work with her.
According to Stonebwoy, he had wanted to feature the late Ebony Reigns on his ‘Bawasaaba’ hit song by making a remix with the Dancehall diva before her tragic accident on February 8.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on #DaybreakHitz on Hitz FM, Stonebwoy disclosed that after he finished with the song, he realized he needed a girl to feature on the song and thought Ebony was the perfect person to add her verse to it.
“After I recorded the song, Ebony was supposed to be featured, so I contacted the manager of Ebony and he gave me the go ahead.
"I sent him and Ogee the song and since Ebony was very busy at that time, she couldn’t get back to me at that time with her own verse so I just went ahead and released the song so that Ebony will later submit her own verse so that it will be a remix.”
He also went ahead to say that he wanted to do the video with Ebony and hinted that the video was going to be like the ‘Vibes’ video but unfortunately, Ebony’s sad demise proved to be the barrier between their collaboration.
Stonebwoy however said that the ‘Bawasaaba’ song was a simple love song and added that it was Ebony who made the song popular when she was rehearsing to add her verse on the song.
