One of the most trending topics this week is about an Adom FM presenter who got slapped by Hajia Fati, a staunch supporter of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the party's headquarters last Friday.
The Adom FM presenter, Ohemaa Sakyiwaa 'Ahwenepa', had gone to the NPP office to cover events surrounding an attempt by the suspended Vice Chairman of the party, Sammy Crabbe to pick nomination forms to contest for the chairmanship position in the upcoming elections.
Hajia Fati, reports suggest, after literally stopping Sammy Crabbe's attempt, slapped Ohemaa Sakyiwaa in the face after she brought out her phone, apparently in a bid to film her.
According to Hajia Fati, she attacked Ohemaa Sakyiwaa because she looked liked an 'onion seller' rather than a journalist and she also did not take any permission from her to capture her.
Notwithstanding, Hajia Fati has been widely condemned for her actions. But who is Ohemaa Sakyiwaa?
Though known to be a radio personality, not many know her beyond her time on air, however, YEN.com.gh has managed to find out more information about her.
Ohemaa Sakyiwaaa who has been with Adom FM since 2016 hails from Berekum in the Brong Ahafo.
She had her secondary school education at the Sunyani Senior High School (Susec) where she completed in 2002.
Ohemaa Sakyiwaa had some training at the Easy Touch Media Institute before starting her media career.
After some time in the media, she enrolled at the African University College of Communications (AUCC) in Accra in 2015.
She completed in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communications degree with a Public Relations and Advertising major.
Meanwhile the NPP has condemned Hajia Fati's attack on Ohemaa Sakyiwaa and has promised to start an inquiry into the incident which has led many to describe the party's headquarters as one of the most dangerous places for journalists to work.
