Kaakie remembers Ebony Reigns in the most special way

Self-acclaimed Dancehall queen of Ghana, Kaakie known in real life as Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey has remembered fellow musician Ebony Reigns, known in real life as Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng with an emotional message.

The musician who also doubles as a nurse took to her Instagram account and shared a picture of herself with the late dancehall act who won the coveted VGMA “Artiste of the Year” accolade.

Kaakie, in expressing her shock over the demise of the 21-year-old songstress captioned her post, “And I miss you every day @ebony_reigns... the tease… the laughter.... ur favorite emoji…aww girl.. feels like u travelled...hard to accept... Hmm

Ebony death took a toll on many of her colleagues in the music industry who could not come to terms with the untimely fashion in which she left the earth and under such tragic circumstances at the moment.

Aside her family members and management who were the worst hit by the artiste's death, other artistes including Kaakie could not help but commiserate with the bereaved family.

The ‘African Fever’ singer has been noted for her exceptional singing prowess but she is also noted for her impeccable dancing skills.

Not long ago, a video of the “Supa Dupa” song maker of her dancing a traditional dance known as “Adowa” went viral on the internet and she received many plaudits from the thousands of people that watched the said video.

The budding musician who is part of Ghana’s few female artistes has grown to become a force to reckon with in the music industry having featured in songs alongside some of the top names the industry has ever produced.

Ebony died in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road while returning to Accra from Sunyani. Her childhood friend and PA, Franky Kuri and one air force official, Francis Atsu Vondee, who posed as a bodyguard also died in the car crash.

The final funeral rites and burial service of the late Dancehall diva Ebony Reigns were heled on March 24, 2018.

She was buried at the Osu Cemetery after the final funeral rites were held in Accra at the forecourt of the State House.
